It’s year three of the Mike Norvell era for FSU football, so it is no surprise the 2022 spring camp was the best one they’ve had since his arrival in December 2019.

Mike Norvell praised his team for their consistency in the spring. They only had one practice that failed to meet his expectations, which is a far cry from the past couple of years.

I’d encourage you to go back and watch some post-practice interviews with Norvell from last year, and you can see there’s a definitive difference in tone and what he’s communicating. The expectations for this FSU football program are different for the 2022 season.

The majority of the players on the roster are Mike Norvell recruits, and those remaining have fully bought into his vision for the program.

This program is finally at a spot where they are talented enough to beat the majority of the teams on their schedule, especially if they can avoid major injuries at key positions.

The coaching staff has infused the program with talent from the transfer portal and helped develop players we never thought would become contributors.

However, everything isn’t perfect, and there’s a lot of room for improvement. Here are my top three positions that need more focus after 2022 spring camp.
