Does FSU football want to play big boy football? Are they capable of it? Well, this recruitment is the perfect opportunity to answer that question.

They have a former five-star player with who they had a good relationship coming out of high school. They are the only non-SEC school(aside from Oklahoma, which has a new coach) to make his final six lists. Recruiting involves several aspects.

Relationships, playing time, location, and now NIL. FSU football has all of these going for them, with NIL being the newest entity to enter the equation.

Other teams could get into this recruitment because Mims won’t be able to enroll anywhere for another month more than likely.

However, if the recruiting battle remains between Miami and FSU, this recruitment could tell us where FSU stands in the grand scheme of things from a recruiting standpoint. If Mims decides to go to Miami, would it be because they offered the better NIL deal?

One would think that would be the case. They can sell playing time because their offensive line sucks too, but if Alex Atkins was his favorite coach, and he’s now the offensive coordinator?

FSU is closer to home, and he could make the NFL from any school he chose. It seems to me that FSU football would be the logical choice.
