FSU football is nearly halfway through spring practice after completing a situational scrimmage Saturday morning.

The scrimmage was closed to the media, but Mike Norvell, Alex Atkins, Adam Fuller, and John Papuchis spoke afterward and seemed pleased with what they observed from the players.

The offense seemed to struggle early but finished up strong. which is a good response from the defense, who saw the offense get the better of them in Thursday’s practice.

The newcomers continue to emerge, and the competition at several positions is fierce.

We went into spring practice with questions on both sides of the ball. How would the quarterback room look? Would the transfers fit in and increase the competition? How quickly would the freshmen early enrollees begin to assert themselves in the competition?

Who would emerge and separate themselves during spring camp? All of the practices count, but the scrimmages probably hold a bit more weight because it’s a live competition in a game setting.

Let’s take a look at three storylines emerging halfway through spring camp.
