What Did FSU Coaches Tell Parson?

If you look back to the 2022 recruiting cycle, you’ll remember FSU got a commitment from Nicco Marchiol in January 2021.

The message to Marchiol was they wanted to take two quarterbacks in that recruiting cycle. They did what they said they would and kept recruiting AJ Duffy, which forced Marchiol to de-commit and look elsewhere, although he knew they wanted to take two quarterbacks.

Duffy was the higher-ranked player, and FSU ultimately signed him in December. Parson has said multiple times that FSU coaches have told him he is their guy, and they involve him in recruiting other players to the 2023 class.

If that’s the case, they can’t go out there and actively recruit other quarterbacks. I know there’s you can’t put all of your eggs in one basket, but it’s a lose-lose situation. If they go out and recruit another quarterback, Parson likely goes elsewhere, and then that quarterback could potentially sign with someone else.

Then it’s the coaches don’t know what they’re doing and couldn’t even sign a quarterback crowd. Heck, FSU coaches straight up told a kid they would pursue other quarterbacks and he was cool with it until he wasn’t.

They have a really good quarterback committed in Parson, and a bird in hand is worth two in the bush(I know they still have to sign him, just go with it).
