FSU Football: Top 5 leaders to emerge for 2022 season
By Kelvin Hunt
Treshaun Ward
Redshirt sophomore running back is the epitome of if you put in the work, good things will happen to you story.
The former walk-on running back appeared in two games in 2019, including the bowl game because Cam Akers declared for the NFL Draft and someone else had an injury.
Ward looked solid in that game and continued to work, appearing in two games. He looked solid and continued to work and earned a scholarship before the 2021 season.
Ward was third on the team in rushing attempts and rushing yards, scoring four touchdowns. He was heavily involved in the passing game, with 21 receptions for 185 yards and one touchdown.
He plays with a chip on his shoulder and is one of the more vocal leaders on the team. When he speaks, players have to listen because he’s put in the work, and the results have to be respected.
I look for him to make even more of an impact in his sophomore season.
