Final Thoughts

I have my own podcast, so you know the interview is good if I’m promoting it here. Another thing to take away from the interview is the amount of time Mike Norvell and the staff put into getting FSU football back to where it’s supposed to be.

KCamp spoke about Mike Norvell having their back, which goes back to not having an Athletic Director that understands the importance of football and making decisions. I understand why Coburn didn’t do certain things, but Norvell now has a great relationship and the support of Michael Alford, which is already paying off. KCamp says he believes Michael Alford was the right hire and will get things to where they need to be.

Now it’s all about continuing to find ways to increase Seminole Booster pledges to make FSU competitive with other elite programs.

FSU also needs to address the NIL situation in some shape, form, or fashion. I know what the law in Florida is, but other teams are finding ways to raise funds to help on the NIL front, and that’s something that needs to happen in Tallahassee if it isn’t already.

That’s another benefit of having a real Athletic Director in place who has experience in the NIL discussions. Can Michael Alford find a way to capitalize on the situation? We’ll know by the time the Early Signing Period rolls back around in December.
