Amari Gainer

Amari Gainer enters his fourth season looking to find an ideal position to utilize his talents best.
Gainer burst on the scene in 2019 after redshirting in 2018, finishing third on the team with 69 tackles and seven tackles for loss.

However, the 2020 season saw Gainer’s role decrease, although the production was still there.
He finished the season with 65 tackles, five tackles for loss, and half a sack in nine games.

Gainer moved to more of a linebacker role in 2022 and finished with 59 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, two QB hurries, two passed defended, and one forced fumble.

Gainer began the season with 30 tackles in the first four games but seemed to become less of a factor down the stretch.

He only had two tackles for a loss in the final five games and zero in the last three. I’m not sure if he was playing injured or fewer snaps, but he’s a guy the defense needs more production from in 2022.
