Soft Back-End Of The Schedule

I’m not a fan of the Wake Forest, NC State, and Clemson stretch of the schedule. However, I do like the back-end of the schedule with a bye-week followed by Georgia Tech, which should be a win.

The Noles will travel to Doak south against a Miami team they beat last year. They’ll travel to Syracuse for a game they should win before returning home to host Louisiana, another game they should win.

The Noles could go 4-0 in that stretch, but 3-1 is probably more probable, with another winnable game against Florida to finish the regular season. Why are these winnable games late important?

Because most teams accumulate injuries throughout the year that tap into their depth late. If FSU suffers some injuries to key players, this schedule on the back-end still allows them a realistic chance to win games.

This part of the schedule is where some late momentum could matter. If FSU had success in this stretch, I’m sure their confidence would be high going into the Florida game, which takes place in Doak in primetime this year.

A win over the Gators would end their three-game winning streak and give the Noles some huge momentum going into the offseason.
