  • Akeem Dent
  • Kalen DeLoach
  • Darius Washington
  • Jarvis Brownlee
  • Maurice Smith
  • Ryan Fitzgerald.

That’s 28.5 percent of the class. Akeem Dent, the highest-ranked player in the class, has had his ups and downs but seemed to settle into a role at the safety position in 2021. Kalen DeLoach had a much-needed breakout season in 2021, and should go into the 2022 season as one of the starters. Darius Washington has dealt with injuries but played decently considering he hasn’t had an opportunity to take advantage of the strength and conditioning program(because of COVID and past injuries). Jarvis Brownlee has a dawg mentality and brings everything he can to each game.

He’s limited against the elite receivers in the league, but you know what you’re going to get with him. Maurice Smith is an undersized center who’s serviceable when healthy but still needs to get bigger and stronger. He played earlier than needed because there was no depth at the position. Ryan Fitzgerald won the kicking job going into the 2021 season and improved over 2020. However, he still has a long way to go to become a good and consistent option.
