Jammie Robinson

Jammie Robinson’s move to the safety position was arguably the most important move for Adam Fuller’s defense in 2021. Robinson played multiple positions in the first few games, and the communications failures in the secondary were apparent.

However, once Robinson found a permanent home, the defensive improvement began almost immediately. The move allowed Robinson to flourish, leading the team with 84 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, three passes defended, and two forced fumbles.

He also led the team with four interceptions, the highest amount for any FSU player since Stanford Samuels in 2018. How good was Jammie Robinson? The Boston College game is a prime example.

The ‘Noles defense shut Phil Jurkovec and the Boston College offense down in the first half, but the game turned once Robinson got ejected on a terrible targeting call. The game was much different, with Boston College taking advantage of his absence in the passing game.

Robinson has yet to announce he plans to return in 2022 or declare for the NFL Draft. If he returns to FSU football, it’ll be a huge boost to the program.
