Jashaun Corbin

When Jashaun Corbin transferred from Texas A&M before the 2020 season, we knew he had missed a lot of time with a bad hamstring injury. The question was, is he going to gain the explosion he had while in high school?

Corbin had a really good 2020 season, and all things considered, he was FSU’s best running back and ran a ton of wildcat offense for Mike Norvell and Kenny Dillingham.

However, the 2021 season saw a Corbin fully healed from the previous injury, and we saw that explosion we didn’t see in 2020.

Corbin fell 113 yards shy of 1,000 rushing yards and likely would have surpassed that mark if he stayed healthy late in the season. Jordan Travis missing quite a bit of time likely contributed to a decrease in production as well.

Corbin finished top 40 nationally in yards per rush and had seven rushing touchdowns. Corbin was also a vital part of the passing game, leading the team with 25 receptions and accounting for 25 percent of FSU’s total yards from scrimmage in 2021.
