The Players Beleive In Mike Norvell

Do you remember the hoopla surrounding Marvin Wilson calling out Mike Norvell they played a game in 2020? Wilson and a few players had an issue with how Mike Norvell handled things apparently and was either told to or sought to play elsewhere.

Fast forward to the 2021 season and FSU starting 0-4, including the Jacksonville State loss. I’m not excusing that loss, but it would have been easy for the team to check out and become everyone for themselves, especially a team with several transfer portal players in the starting lineup.

However, his speech before the Syracuse game seemed to light everyone on fire, and the team took on a different mentality.

Folks say teams become a by-product of their head coach, and in several ways, that came to fruition as the season progressed. We never saw that 2021 team quit or playinig soft.
