Omar Graham Jr.

Admittedly, this is the longest shot of the three players I’ll list, especially since I expect the coaching staff to bring in at least one linebacker from the transfer portal.

However, the linebacker position is of little depth, and one of the starters (DJ Lundy) is very limited in coverage.

Omar Graham Jr. will be an early enrollee, which will help get him acclimated to the game speed. He’s also incredibly smart, which should help with learning the defensive scheme quicker than usual. Graham Jr. lists at 6’1″ and 220 pounds, so physically, he’s ready than most freshmen linebackers.

If Graham Jr. doesn’t see the field as a linebacker, I’d be shocked if he wasn’t on the field during special teams since they were poor last year. One of the biggest question marks for Graham Jr. is, can he play in space?

He recently posted a video on Twitter of him working on covering receivers. Graham Jr. played off edge most of the year, so learning to fill the right gap in the run game will be something he needs to work on as well.

One thing to remember, the coaching staff won’t put him on the field if they don’t believe he helps the team.
