We know Alex Atkins and Marcus Woodson dogs on the recruiting trails. Mike Norvell has shown the ability to work magic in the transfer portal.
Odell Haggins plays the slow game with relationship building, but the other guys remaining on the staff leave a lot to desire.
I don’t believe Ron Dugans gets a new contract once it expires at the end of next month. It sounds like David Johnson could move over to take the wide receiver coaching position, which leaves an opening at running back coach.
That position is where most head coaches stash their best recruiters. If these moves come to fruition, Mike Norvell can’t afford to miss on getting an ace recruiter in that spot. FSU has been in too many recruitments down the stretch to lose out against other schools.
Some of that likely involves NIL stuff that needs addressing, but recruiters recruit and find a way to get it done.
If Mike Norvell can add another ace to go along with Atkins and Woodson, that would go a long way to helping with the 2023 class and beyond.
