FSU Still Met Tons Of Needs

I know FSU fans don’t want to hear it, but things could have been worse. The staff did an excellent job holding the class together overall, despite the 0-4 start and 5-7 season.

They signed their highest-ranked quarterback in years with AJ Duffy and four quality offensive linemen.

FSU signed two top 100 players in five-star Sam McCall(who many didn’t think FSU would hold on to) and four-star defensive back Azareyeh Thomas(who nobody thought would sign with FSU a month ago).

The miss on Tyre West hurt, but they did address the defensive tackle position with Daniel Lyons and Bishop Thomas signing. FSU received a commitment from four-star defensive end Dante Anderson. He’s someone I mentioned would likely be a backup plan to not signing Marvin Jones Jr.

This offensive line class is one of the best FSU has signed in some time, even without Armella.

FSU also signed a solid defensive end with legacy recruit Aaron Hester. They signed an underrated player with Rodney Hill at the running back spot. However, they whiffed at the wide receiver position, but it’s possible to address that unit through the transfer portal.

They’ll need to address the linebacker position in the transfer portal as well. All in all, it could have been worse if Duddy decided to delay his signing or if they didn’t sign McCall or Thomas. I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was still a very disappointing day.
