Keir Thomas

Do you want to talk about a guy that put the defense on his back at times Saturday? Keir Thomas played as a man possessed against Boston College, and Phil Jurkovec will likely have nightmares about him.

He was everywhere and had seven tackles, three tackles for a loss, two sacks, and SIX quarterback hurries.

He would have had a third sack if he simply wrapped up Jurkovec instead of hitting and letting him go. I thought he was hesitant because of how the referees started calling the game.

There was a point in the game where it seemed like Thomas and Johnson had an agreement they would meet to shake hands each time they got to Jurkovec in the backfield.

Johnson’s performance this year has been legendary for a guy with only one year in the garnet and gold, but Thomas has had an amazing year in his own right.

Saturday’s performance gives him 7.5 sacks and 12 tackles for a loss on the season.
