FSU football is riding high after ending their four-game losing streak against Miami last week. It was a win that could signal the changing of the guard as the Noles look to climb back to prominence.

The win helped restore faith in Mike Norvell and the coaching staff after losing back-to-back games. However, they’ll face a Boston College team on the road in a game they can’t afford to lose if they want to keep the momentum from the Miami win.

FSU enters the game as +2.5 betting underdogs, but advanced metrics say the Noles are the better team despite Boston College having the better overall record. The Eagles have beaten three non-Power Five teams and three Power 5 teams with a combined record of 13-17.

The FEI average ranking of those three Power 5 teams is No. 75. FSU’s FEI ranking checks in at No. 45, while Boston College checks in at No. 76.

Boston College has played six games without starting QB Phil Jurkovec, but three of those teams were awful.

He returned two weeks ago and has picked up from where he left off. However, the FSU defense will be the best defense Boston College has faced all season. Here are four of their weaknesses that benefit the Noles.
