FSU basketball will host Tulane Wednesday night. Here is a look at the odds, how to watch, and a prediction.

FSU basketball suffered their first loss of the young 2021 season Sunday afternoon against the rival Florida Gators. Florida used good defense and destroyed the Noles on the offensive boards to end their seven-game losing streak. Caleb Mills got in foul trouble early, and Malik Osborne was the only guy that could assert himself on the offensive end most of the game.

Defensively, we saw the Noles have a solid performance, holding the Gators to 38.7 percent shooting and 28 percent from three-point land. It was the shot selection and poor free-throw shooting, coupled with losing the rebounding battle, that was responsible for the loss.

FSU basketball vs. Tulane Odds and Prediction

WynnBET’s updated odds have the Noles as -18 point betting favorites at home. The over/under point total is 139.5, which implies a 79-61 type of game. Tulane (1-1) checks in at No. 148 in the latest KenPom rankings, and the Noles checked in at No. 31. The Green Wave is a better defensive team than the offensive but one name to watch out for is Jalen Cook, who averages 23.5 ppg through the first two games.  He shoots 54 percent from the floor and 50 percent from three-point land (6 of 12) but struggles at the free-throw line (62.5 percent).

This game is one FSU should win and should cover since they’ll have a huge edge in talent. Hopefully, it’s a game where they can begin to form some chemistry on the offensive end since that’s where they need to see the most improvement.

Prediction: FSU 83, Tulane 65
