Their Perception of FSU program

The one thing I’ve heard over and over since Saturday? Miami fans can’t believe they lost to THIS FSU football team.

All you hear is that FSU team lost to Jacksonville State. I’ve discussed what happened in that game, and it’s totally on the coaching staff. If FSU played Jacksonville State today or the next day after they lost, they would have won by double digits.

Did Miami fans forget THIS FSU football team soundly beat a UNC team they lost to? Heck, the worst FSU football team ever beat a UNC team that has running backs who are still scoring touchdowns against Miami right now.

Despite the 3-6 record before Saturday’s game, FSU ranked higher in advanced metrics in every category except special teams. Also, FSU has played without their starting quarterback Jordan Travis, you know, the one that led the game-winning drive against Miami in four of their six losses.

I think that fact is lost on FSU fans who have been overly critical of Norvell’s overall record at FSU. It would not be far-fetched to say FSU would have six wins right now if Travis played in those games. FSU isn’t anywhere near as bad as Miami fans would want them to be.
