Omarion Cooper

Do you want to talk about a bold move by the coaching staff? The staff decided to give freshman Omarion Cooper the start over Jarrian Jones, and the move paid off nearly immediately.

Cooper getting the start was something FSU fans recognized before the game began.

Cooper intercepted a deep pass from Tyler Van Dyke on Miami’s second possession to give the FSU defense more momentum and confidence.

The turnover became an opportunity the FSU offense wasted, but it robbed Miami of a possession. Cooper was all over the field and finished the game with two tackles, the interception, and four passes defended.

He has come on strong as of late, including an interception in the Clemson game. FSU could have them a player in the secondary moving forward.
