I’m still on a high from the FSU football win over Miami Saturday evening. It was a game with so many emotional twists and turns, coupled with old feelings of here we go again.

It was great to finally be on the right side of facing adversity and winning. The Noles have shown the ability to respond to adversity in nearly every game.

It’s a stark departure from the last few years, but after a while, just responding isn’t quite enough.

They needed to show the next step in fully overcoming that moment, and it couldn’t have come at a better time when they relinquished the lead against Miami in the fourth quarter.

It was a collective effort, with the defense playing lights out and the offense gaining an early lead. That was something new, but some missed opportunities allowed Miami back in the game.

It felt like the momentum was going to be too much to overcome, and it just felt like somebody needed to make a play.

The good news is several players consistently made plays in the entire game. Here are my five standout players from the win over Miami.
