Final Thoughts

I think the FSU defense will perform better than most think about Miami’s offense. Van Dyke has gotten better, but UNC’s defense is atrocious, and they held Miami to 42 points.

UVA’s defense is worse, and they only scored 30 points. The key is making Miami earn everything they get. On the flip side, we’ve seen this FSU defense respond when the FSU offense gets going.

The FSU offense should be able to put up some points against this Miami defense. I think it’s imperative to get off to a fast start and play complementary football.

I hope the FSU football fans show up and become a factor in the game as Van Dyke hasn’t played in a rival game atmosphere.

Jordan Travis will need to put the offense on his back and take what’s available to him. If there are yards available, take them, instead of waiting to see if someone will eventually get open down the field.

Miami’s defense is aggressive but undisciplined, and there will be opportunities to cash in on. If the Noles don’t turn it over and play a clean game, I like their chances to surprise a lot of folks.
