Final Thoughts

It’s an interesting matchup, and I think the key to the game will be the FSU offense. If they show up and put up points, the FSU defense usually feeds off that and plays well.

The problem of late has been the offense hasn’t played well since the UNC game(not counting UMASS). However, a leaky Miami defense could be just what the doctor ordered for the Noles to get going.

One thing to note is Miami likes to run a ton of man-to-man defense which could help spring Jordan Travis for some big runs on scrambling plays. I watched the Georgia Tech game, and there was a lot of space for a mobile quarterback to do damage.

The key for Jordan Travis is not to be indecisive and take advantage of those opportunities. They will need to avoid turnovers and limit things that put them in predictable passing situations. FSU’s run game could keep Miami’s offensive opportunities limited if they find success.

Tyler Van Dyke will likely put up numbers, but FSU has to avoid the cheap touchdowns allowed as they had against NC State if they want to have an opportunity for a huge win.
