FSU basketball game tonight: FSU vs. Penn Line, Predictions, Odds, TV Channel & Live Stream Info
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU basketball will host Penn tonight in the official start of the 2021-22 season and here is a look at the odds, how to watch, and a prediction.
The long wait for the 2021-22 FSU basketball season will end Wednesday night when the Noles host the Pennsylvania Quakers. The Noles last took the court in the Sweet 16 in a losing effort against the Michigan Wolverines.
That team saw several departures to the NBA, which has been customary of Leonard Hamilton teams of late. The 2021-22 roster has a few familiar faces, but most of the roster consists of talented freshmen and a couple of transfer players. The Noles easily won their two exhibition games with veterans RayQuan Evans, Malik Osborne, and Anthony Polite leading the way.
FSU basketball vs. Penn Odds and Prediction
WynnBET’s updated odds have the Noles as -19.5 betting favorites. The over/under point total is 146, which implies an 83-63 type of game. Penn plays in the IVY league and didn’t play during the COVID year in 2020 and check in at No. 215 in the latest KenPom rankings. The Noles checked in at No. 24 and should win the game, but the question is, will they cover? It’s hard to say since we don’t know what to expect from Penn after not playing last year. Plus, FSU basketball has several new faces they are integrating into the lineup. We saw them shoot the ball well in their two exhibition games, particularly from behind the three-point line. Penn ranks poor on both ends of the floor, and FSU should have an advantage on both ends.
Prediction: FSU 84, Penn 62
