Final Thoughts

The coaches had the deck stacked against them this week. They had to play without their starting quarterback, and several players were affected b the flu, which probably impacted some of their performances.

They only had two penalties in the entire game. It came down to NC State’s offense being better and better field position for much of the day. The guys didn’t quit and kept fighting, making it a game until midway through the fourth quarter.

The fourth-down call did seem to take the air out of the team when they didn’t convert it. However, it was amazing it was even a ballgame considering what the first half looked like from the offense.

I know some people are down on the team, but like I’ve been saying the last few weeks. They have to play near perfect to beat the average to good teams.

They had too many wasted offensive possession, and the defense had a lack of focus at some inopportune times with the missed tackles.

Overall, I think they’ll have a shot of beating Miami next week despite the loss against NC State as long as all of the starters are available.
