FSU football: 5 players deserve Tomahawk Stickers for Clemson game
By Kelvin Hunt
Fabien Lovett
Defensive tackle Fabien Lovett played like a man possessed Saturday afternoon. It was a name we didn’t hear too much on the broadcast(technically, I didn’t hear it at all because I muted the broadcast with RGIII commentating).
However, it was easy to see Lovett as a disruptive force against the Clemson offensive line. He finished the game with three tackles, and all of them were solo, including a key tackle for a loss on second down that ultimately led to a Clemson punt late in the game.
The three solo tackles stand out the most as he rag-dolled the guy trying to block him to make the tackle each time.
Lovett has quietly become one of FSU’s best defensive tackles and will likely hear his name called in the next year’s NFL Draft should he put his name in that hat.
I think he will since he has a young son with health issues, so we should enjoy him for the next four games.
