FSU football: 3 takeways from ‘Noles loss against Clemson
By Kelvin Hunt
Final Thoughts
I thought the coaches had the players prepared and did a good job of scheming some things open. The defense played with passion and great effort. I thought Fabien Lovett and Amari Gainer played a heck of a game.
The secondary gave up some plays, but also made some plays. However, those pass interference calls were terrible and did the Noles no favors.
We said we wanted FSU football to be competitive at the beginning of the season, and we wanted to see progress.
They are 3-5 and have been competitive in every loss except one. However, they can’t allow this loss to turn into three consecutive losses, with NC State and Miami on deck.
This team has played with great resolve, and I believe they gave everything they had in the game.
They are a limited team and can’t make all those mistakes in games and win against teams with more overall talent.
Clemson tried to give FSU the win, and they couldn’t take advantage. There are no moral victories, and here’s to hoping the guys can regroup and get a win at home next week against NC State.
