Physicality

This aspect has improved immensely compared to the last few years for FSU football. I’ve called the Noles numerous times over the past few years, but that’s something this team has overcome both physically and mentally.

However, I need to see a different FSU football Saturday afternoon. I need to see a team that wants to impose their will from the opening kickoff. When they hit Clemson players, I need to see them falling backward instead of forward for 2-3 yards.

I need to see the FSU defensive line whipping Clemson’s front and making life difficult for Clemson’s quarterback and running backs.

Clemson will try to run a lot of screens in the passing game, and I need to see FSU defensive backs getting off those blocks to make a play. Thankfully, Clemson wide receivers don’t seem too interested in executing those blocks in the past few games.

On the flip side, I need to see FSU skill players execute their blocks and create space for the running backs and Jordan Travis to do their thing in the run game.

FSU must set the tone that they are there on a mission to change the trajectory of the program.
