FSU football vs. UMASS Minutemen: Best bets for Saturday afternoon
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football will return to Doak Campbell Stadium in week eight when they take on the UMASS Minutemen Saturday at noon.
The Noles come into the game off back-to-back wins for the first time since the 2019 season. UMASS enters the game off their first win in 2021, ending a 19-game losing streak by defeating UCONN.
FSU will look to continue their winning ways and extend their momentum into an interesting matchup with Clemson in week nine. FSU football will enter Saturday’s contest as a -35 point betting favorite.
The over/under betting total is 60.5, which implies a score of 48-13. The Noles are 2-4 against the spread, and the under total has won four of six times. FSU practices have been inconsistent a few times the last couple of weeks, and it’ll be the first-noon game the Noles have played all season.
Will they come out with a purpose as huge betting favorites in front of what could be a smaller crowd? It is Homecoming, so maybe a few more folks will be in the stands compared to normal for a game like this.
If you’re interested in betting on the game, here are my three best bets. Please note, this is for entertainment purposes only, and my record stands at 1-2 thus far.
