2022 Schedule

FSU football has a trend of opening the season with tough games, and luckily they have an easier game to open the 2022 season with Dusquene. However, they will travel to Louisiana to take on LSU in the second game.

It might be a negative for FSU football that Orgeron will not be the head coach since they have underperformed since winning the national title in 2019. Orgeron has a 9-8 record since that 15-0 undefeated season.

How crazy would it be if Jimbo Fisher did take the LSU job? His first game as head coach would be against the team where he first became a head coach.

It all depends on the hire, but either way, that program will have a brand new staff with recruits that will have new schemes and terminology on both sides of the ball.

The LSU program could see several players leave the program for the NFL or head to the transfer portal. That’s an advantage for the Noles as Mike Norvell will be going into his third season in Tallahassee.

The Noles need a big win in their season opener since that hasn’t happened since the 2016 win over Ole Miss. If they can open the season with back-to-back wins, including a win over LSU? That would give the program some early momentum they haven’t had in September since forever.
