FSU football: 8 players deserve Tomahawk Stickers after UNC win
By Kelvin Hunt
Jermaine Johnson
We may not hear Jermaine Johnson’s name called as much as we did in the first two games, but that doesn’t mean his play has fallen off.
The Georgia transfer continues to work, finishing the UNC game with six tackles and a sack. He’s second on the team in total tackles and tied for the lead nationally with 6.5 sacks.
The sack near the end of the game against Sam Howell had to feel rewarding after he was held for much of the game. It was like a game’s worth of frustration was let out on that one hit.
His season sack total is nearly more sacks than FSU has had from the defensive end position in the last two years combined.
That effort is with teams attributing more attention to him after his early production and with him playing close to 60 snaps on defense.
