FSU football: 8 players deserve Tomahawk Stickers after UNC win
By Kelvin Hunt
Offensive Line
I must give some major props to the FSU offensive line for playing a large role in the upset win over UNC. The unit only allowed two tackles for a loss and didn’t allow a sack for the entire game.
There were a couple of times where Jordan Travis used his legs to avoid UNC defenders, but he was relatively clean until he took off in the run game.
The FSU offensive line has played with a lot of injuries, and the injury bug bit Devontay Love-Taylor during the game.
However, senior Baveon Johnson replaced him at the guard position, and the unit didn’t seem to miss a beat. Johnson has been a player often criticized during his time at FSU, but he’s been solid at the guard position and looks to be an important piece.
Robert Scott Jr. and Darius Washington had nice games. Maurice Smith and Dillan Gibbons had solid games as well.
The bye-week is critical in getting these guys time to receive treatment and allowing their bodies to heal as much as possible.
