First Touchdown Of Second Half

Everyone was happy FSU football received the ball first in the second half and wanted the offense to continue putting points on the board.

The worst possible scenario was a three-and-out to give North Carolina some momentum, and that’s exactly what happened. The thought was if they got a three-and-out, they’d likely score a touchdown on their next possession, and that’s exactly what happened next. FSU football fans have seen this movie before.

However, instead of turning the ball over or having an unproductive drive, the FSU offense answered that touchdown with one of their own to push the lead back to 11 points. I think their response to that adversity paved the way for them to dominate the remainder of the game.

The offense went on to score a touchdown on their next possession, and the defense forced a goal-line turnover on downs to effectively put the game away.

It’s the small battles in games that make the biggest differences. It’s like FSU players finally understand the psychology of playing off one another when it comes to offense and defense.
