FSU football vs. UNC Tarheels: Best bets for Saturday afternoon
By Kelvin Hunt
UNC Total Points
UNC football comes into the game averaging 37.6 points, and FSU football allows an average of 31.4. UNC will be the best offense the Noles have faced by far. Sam Howell will be the best quarterback they’ve faced, and Josh Downs will be the best receiver they’ve faced.
The Noles allowed 30 points to a Syracuse team with a terrible quarterback and were lucky they didn’t score more if not for a goal-line stand and the defense holding the Orange to a field goal after the FSU offense turned it over in FSU territory.
FSU has turned the ball over at least once in every game this year and has multiple turnovers in three of their five games. Can they avoid turnovers for the first time in a game played in less than ideal conditions on the road?
Probably not, and UNC will be able to move the ball on FSU’s defense more than likely. Once in the red zone, UNC scores touchdowns 69 percent of the time against Power Five teams. FSU is good for at least one blown coverage for a touchdown nowadays as well.
I’d take UNC over 41 points at -110.
