FSU football has experienced a lot of adversity through the first five games of the season. A 1-4 team that could easily be 3-2 or even 4-1 despite a lot of poor play from multiple positions.

The win over Syracuse was no different, with the team looking sloppy in all three phases at times Saturday afternoon.

However, all three played a part in the Noles securing their first victory of the season. There were several outstanding efforts from some of the players, and many players from the transfer portal continue to lead the way.

We’re going to look at some players that contributed in a big way Saturday afternoon and deserve Tomahawk stickers! I said six players, but some I combined because they were part of a unit.

No. 7

Camren McDonald

Camren McDonald had his best game this season, finishing with five receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. McDonald snagged a couple of low passes from Jordan Travis for some big gains as most of his production came on FSU’s first touchdown drive in the game.

I can’t mention the good without the bad, as McDonald’s missed block allowed the interception Jordan Travis threw to happen. He has to give better effort against a defensive back. Nevertheless, it was good to see McDonald become a productive part of the offense.
