FSU Game Saturday: FSU vs. Syracuse injury report, schedule, live stream, TV channel, and betting preview for Week 5 NCAA game
FSU Injury Report vs. Syracuse Week 5
The Noles come into the Syracuse game with the possible return of offensive lineman Maurice Smith and defensive tackle Fabien Lovett. Quarterback Jordan Travis is likely still questionable with Chubba Purdy as the backup behind McKenzie Milton.
FSU vs. Syracuse Odds and Betting Pick Week 5
WynnBET’s Week 5 NCAA updated odds have the Noles as -5.5 betting favorites in their home game against the Syracuse Orange. The over/under point total is 51, which imply a 28-23 type of game. The updated betting line means some money came in on the Noles over the past couple of days as the line opened at -4.5.
If I were a betting man, I’d feel encouraged by the second half against Louisville, but I’m still in wait-and-see mode before I’d ever lay real money on them to cover the spread. They don’t have strong quarterback play, and the defensive secondary can be a liability. I do expect FSU to win this game unless they turn the ball over multiple times.
They did a solid job of not turning the ball over until their final possession against Louisville. Syracuse doesn’t have much firepower offensively considering the competition they’ve faced thus far. Maybe this is finally the week the Noles get over the hump? If McKenzie Milton gets the start again, I think we’ll see an improved product offensively. The more reps he gets as the No. 1 guy, the more continuity this offense will have, especially if Maurice Smith returns. Lovett returning on defense would be a huge boost as well.
Prediction: FSU 27-24.
