FSU Game Saturday: FSU vs. Syracuse odds and prediction for NCAA Week 5 game
FSU football will enter week four of the 2021 season with an 0-4 record for the first time since before most of us were born. They will be hosting Syracuse (3-1), who comes to Tallahassee after defeating Liberty on a last second field goal last week.
The Noles didn’t face Syracuse in 2020, but the Orange were one of the teams a lackluster FSU team dominated in 2019.
The Noles come into the game off an encouraging second half performance against Louisville, which saw them come up short on their final possession in hopes of tying the game to force overtime..
Syracuse is 3-1 but lost to the only Power 5 team they have played this year (Rutgers 17-7).
FSU vs. Syracuse Week 5
The Week 5 betting odds on WynnBET have the Noles as -4.5-point betting favorites at home. The money line odds are not available at this time, but the total for the game is set at an over/under of 52 points, which implies a 28-24 type of game in favor of the Noles.
FSU vs. Syracuse Prediction Week 5
If I were a betting man, I’d feel encouraged by the second half against Louisville, but I’m still in wait-and-see mode before I’d ever lay real money on them to cover the spread. They don’t have strong quarterback play, and the defensive secondary can be a liability. I do expect FSU to win this game unless they turn the ball over multiple times. They did a solid job of not turning the ball over until their final possession against Louisville. Syracuse doesn’t have much firepower offensively considering the competition they’ve faced thus far. Maybe this is finally the week the Noles get over the hump?
