The Team Never Quit

I know the effort is the bare minimum, but I also watched this team fold multiple times in the face of adversity over the last 3-4 seasons.

The score was 17-0 in the first quarter and 31-7 in the second quarter. At times, it looked as though FSU would get run out of Doak Campbell Stadium. However, the team kept playing hard and found some confidence after a quick score in the third quarter and consequently a stop on defense.

The effort of the players lets you know the coaches are still getting through to these players. They are responding when it could be easy for them to check out and give half the effort, just like we’ve seen the last couple of years.

I know we want wins as fans, but these are the types of wins we’re going to have to settle for until they can execute consistently on both sides of the ball.

The other thing to point out is the only turnover on the day happened on the final offensive play. It wasn’t ideal, but they played a much cleaner game than compared to what we saw against Wake Forest. As bad as things seem at 0-4, this team would be 3-1 at worst if they had a good QB.
