Two Starters On Offensive Line Could Return

I don’t think it’s a coincidence the FSU offense has sputtered because they have missed two starters on the offensive line, especially against Wake Forest.

I would think they could get past Jacksonville State without those two players, but I put that loss squarely on the coaching staff. Maurice Smith at the center and Robert Scott at tackle make the FSU offense a much different animal.

We saw that in the Notre Dame game. The running game is different with them in the lineup, and McKenzie Milton will likely have the time needed to be effective in the passing game.

Louisville’s defense isn’t great against the pass as opposing quarterbacks have completed 71 percent of their passes. Louisville will likely try to play man coverage with most of their linebackers in the box to stop the run.

FSU football will likely have to make a few pass plays to respect that aspect before creating opportunities in the run game. However, the Cardinal’s inability to consistently get pressure gives me hope the receivers will have enough time to get open.

It’s a good matchup for the FSU offense if everyone is healthy, and I like the Noles to show some life on Saturday afternoon.
