Turnovers

One of the issues that haunt the FSU football team is offensive turnovers. They had three turnovers in the Notre Dame game that cost them 21 points.

FSU turned the ball over once against Jacksonville State but had six turnovers(one was on a Hail Mary going into halftime) against Wake Forest Saturday.

Wake Forest scored 10 points off those turnovers, and the FSU offense got zero points off the two turnovers forced by the Nole defense. I know everyone wants to fire Adam Fuller, but we have at least seen some improvements in the FSU defense through three games.

The offense has regressed since last year after having an entire year to implement the offense. I know turnovers have a luck component, but the decisions Jordan Travis and McKenzie Milton have made that have resulted in interceptions are baffling.

I know Milton hasn’t played in three years, and the offense is new to him, but he looked lost out there Saturday. Jordan Travis looked lost the first couple of times he took the field on Saturday as well. Both have struggled to avoid turnovers, and that’s something bad teams can’t afford, especially those struggling to score points.
