Final Thoughts

This game against Wake Forest reminds me of the 2019 season with Willie Taggart going into the Miami game.

Even though FSU had won the previous week, the Noles needed to have a good performance, and they turned in one of the worst performances of recent memory. It was a rivalry game at home, and the players looked unmotivated and lost badly to a terrible Miami team.

That team looked like they hadn’t practiced all week, and I knew some changes needed to happen, and this Wake Forest game falls into the same category.

It’s a game Mike Norvell knows they must have a good performance, and the player knows they almost HAVE to win if they want to have any shot of making a bowl game and possibly keeping the recruiting class together.

I think of it as a fight to live against an opponent you should beat. Will coaches put the players in the best situations for success, and will players give everything they have to make the plays to find that success?

If both happen, I believe they can rise to the occasion Saturday afternoon. If not, I don’t think we’ll ever see what we want from this program this year. The betting line makes me feel like we’ll see the former, but we’ll see Saturday afternoon.
