Passing Game

I hope we see Jordan Travis, McKenzie Milton, and Chubba Purdy in the game Saturday night(at different times, obviously).

It’ll be a good way to get some live reps in the passing game for every quarterback that will likely see snaps in 2021. FSU’s passing game looked like some draw it up in the dirt type of stuff against Notre Dame.

I want to see the passing offense execute actual plays instead of a quarterback running around trying to make something happen. That will begin upfront with the offensive line, but the quarterbacks need to make the right pre-snap reads and get the ball out on time.

Jordan Travis left yards on the table by not checking down once his first read wasn’t available or missed the throw altogether. I watched the Ole Miss/Louisville game Monday night, and it was like night and day between FSU’s passing game.

They were hitting open receivers all over the route tree, granted Louisville’s defense doesn’t look good.

However, FSU will need to develop a passing game so teams won’t load up the box against the run.
