Alex Mastromanno

Alex Mastromanno had a strong freshmen season in his first year of American football and looks to have picked up where he left off in 2020.

Mastromanno played an important part in keeping the Noles in the game early when the FSU offense was pinned deep inside their territory.

His first two punts were from his end zone. The first punt was 44 yards, forcing Notre Dame to start on their side of the field.

The second punt was 53 yards and returned for four yards, with Notre Dame starting their possession on their 45-yard line.

Mastromanno showed he’s more than a guy with a big leg as he pinned Notre Dame inside their 10-yard line with a 36-yard punt on his next attempt.

Mastromanno punted four times on the night and finished with a 43-yard average. Ironically, FSU didn’t punt a single time in the second half of the game.
