Jordan Travis Hasn’t Improved As A Passer

I wanted to believe the reports, and some swear it was legit. However, maybe it was a case of looking great on the driving range and not being able to take it to the actual course?

Jordan Travis looked like he regressed as a quarterback several times Sunday night. Maybe it was a case of him wanting to look like a quarterback and trying to make a play with his arm instead of his feet?

I think there were several times Travis could have gotten upfield for big yardage, but he decided to hold the ball too long. He missed several wide-open receivers who were only 8-12 yards away.
One pass in the flats to a running back was way over their heads, and the same thing happened to Malik McClain, who was badly overthrown.

I don’t know, something didn’t look right with Jordan Travis Sunday night. I was surprised they didn’t have more designed runs for him to attempt to loosen the Notre Dame defense up. However, when he’s not a real threat to throw the ball they can keep bringing pressure the way they were.I think it’s smart to keep trying to develop Jordan Travis as a quarterback, but at the

same time, they need to stick to what he does best, and that’s running the ball with him.

The three interceptions thrown were the difference in the ballgame, as they resulted in 21 points for Notre Dame. Will we see McKenzie Milton in week two against Jacksonville State? If he’s healthy, that’s who I put out there. However, it would be a good scenario for Travis to get game reps in the passing game as well.
