Emotional Game

This aspect is what I’m worried about the most. There will be a lot of emotions flowing through everyone before this game.

The emotion of fans back in a stadium at full capacity for the first time in over a year. The celebration of the life of Bobby Bowden and FSU players feeling the pressure to play well.

Will they be able to channel that energy into a positive start? If so, can they ride that emotion similar to how they did against North Carolina in 2020?

How will they respond to adversity if it hits them right out of the gate? How this team responds to adversity will tell us a lot about how much Mike Norvell has changed the culture of this program.

If we don’t see much fight in this team with everything on the line Sunday night, I would consider that a red flag.

FSU needs to play well with the number of recruits in attendance. They need to play well with the number of fans that will show up in support of this program. An embarrassing loss would hurt on both fronts, and FSU needs recruits and fan support in the worst way.

I need to see the players playing hard and with passion for 60 minutes. If they do that, I think they’ll be fine, win or lose.
