FSU Defense

The FSU defense has to be the biggest question mark going into 2021. FSU defensive coordinator Adam Fuller could use the COVID excuse going into the 2020 season.

It’s not an excuse Fuller used, but it was a legit reason it was the worst FSU defense in history. However, this Notre Dame offense should be a good barometer of what to expect in 2021.

Notre Dame has a new quarterback that’s a good game manager, but he’s not a quarterback that should strike fear into anyone. Not to mention he’ll be playing behind a new offensive line.

If FSU can limit Notre Dame’s running game, they’ll have a chance to make Jack Coan uncomfortable in passing situations.

We saw how defensive pressure affects quarterbacks in the Clemson vs. Georgia game Saturday night.

Will we see a physical and fast FSU defense Sunday night?

Will the defense look better coordinated? Will the blitzes look well-timed, and will they make tackles when they are in position?

These are the types of things I’ll be looking for Sunday night. If the Noles can limit Notre Dame to around six yards per play, that would be a great sign of things to come.
