Young Players Will Be Contributors in 2021

FSU football was one of the youngest teams in college football last season, and it’s no surprise several of those young players will see action again this fall.

FSU brought in a solid 2021 recruiting class highlighted by several transfer players that will be counted on to be contributors this fall.

The high school crop of signees saw several players enroll early, and the majority of those players will see action this fall.

Those players consist of Malik McClain, Joshua Burrell, Joshua Farmer, and Kevin Knowles.

However, I think some high school players that didn’t enroll until this summer have emerged, and will see snaps this fall as well.

Those players consist of Hunter Washington and Shyheim Brown, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see Patrick Payton and in some situational snaps.

We’ll likely see more younger players gain playing time as the season progresses. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Byron Turner Jr., Omarion Cooper, and Shambre Jackson later in the season.

That’s a solid haul of recruits for a coaching staff that had to deal with a pandemic and didn’t meet some of these players face-to-face in the entire recruiting cycle.
