September 18h @Wake Forest

This game is the most important game on the schedule. If the Noles win this game, their chances of making a bowl game go quite a bit. If they suffer a loss?

It’s the inverse, and I’m not feeling great about most of the matchups left on the schedule.

This game will be the first road test for the Noles. The last time these two teams faced one another was in Winston-Salem in 2019.

The Demon Deacons were gifted a win by a sloppy and undisciplined Noles team, yet FSU still had chances to win.

Wake Forest’s offense averaged 36 points last year, but their defense nearly allowed 33 points per game.

Wake Forest has suffered some losses from last year’s team, and I like FSU to carry momentum from its win over Jacksonville State. It will be a game the Noles will have to score points, and I think they can win the matchup in the trenches.

Scoring Prediction: FSU 34, Wake Forest 30

Projected 2021 Record: 2-1
