Relatively Healthy Team

Mike Norvell said in a recent post-practice scrum that the Noles have been able to avoid major injuries throughout fall camp.

They have had a couple of soft tissue issues, which is normal, but for the most part, they will exit fall camp relatively healthy.

The reason why that’s important is it’s still a young football team that will be depending on several transfer players to allow them to compete.

Players like Jermaine Johnson, Keir Thomas, Jammie Robinson, Dillan Gibbons, Andrew Parchment, and probably Marcus Cushnie will likely play hundreds of snaps in 2021.

It’s also why the coaching staff decided to play it safe and limit the number of reps these players took in fall camp. As a former college athlete, it’s common for coaches to sit experienced players out.

It allows younger players to get more reps, which helps their development, but it also increases the probability of getting through camp with fewer injuries to starters.

Barring anything crazy happening, the Noles will enter the Notre Dame game with no limitations.
