Offensive Line

The offensive line is a unit FSU football fans have become familiar with over the years. We’ve watched quarterbacks get decimated and running backs dodge multiple defenders before they reach the line of scrimmage.

However, it looks like this unit can be serviceable for Alex Atkins and Mike Norvell in 2021. We saw some growth with the unit before Devontay Love-Taylor suffered an injury that ended his season.

He’s back, and players like Darius Washington had an offseason to train and heal from previous injuries. Notre Dame transfer Dillan Gibbon could start or play lots of snaps in a reserve role.

The coaching staff finally has a solid 6-8 players they feel like they can depend on going into the season. They proved adept at run blocking, but blocking in obvious passing situations was an area they needed improvement.

If that’s the case in 2021, FSU’s offense should be less predictable and more efficient. If not, the quarterbacks will likely be banged up again, and they’ll struggle to make a bowl game.
